2016考研英语阅读解题思路——把握现在时间指示词

　　各位同学大家好，这周继续为大家梳理传统阅读的解题思路。众所周知，命题老师常常在转折处、特殊标点处命题，所以若文章中出现转折词或者特殊标点符号(分号、冒号、破折号、括号)，那么转折词或特殊标点符号所在的这句话是很重要的，因为这些地方往往就是答案的位置。可是同学们通常会忽略另一个比较明显的文章中出答案的地方，即现在时间指示词处。为什么命题老师会在现在时间指示词处命题呢?考研英语传统阅读理解的文章都是选自西方国家的核心期刊杂志，作者讨论的是最新的观点或是研究发现，所以文章中常常伴有现在时间指示词，这里往往是作者观点集中体现的地方，而命题老师考我们这篇文章有没有读懂，考的就是该文章作者的观点有没有读懂，因此现在时间指示词处跟转折处、特殊标点符号处一样会命置题目。
　　比如2014年第一篇文章第22题：
　　The phrase “to sign on” (Line 2, Para. 2) most probably means
　　[A] to check on the availability of jobs at the jobcentre.
　　[B] to accept the government’s restrictions on the allowance.
　　[C] to register for an allowance from the government.
　　[D] to attend a governmental job-training program.
　　这是一道词义句意题回到原文发现是在第二自然段第三句话中“Those first few days should be spent looking for work, not looking to sign on,” he claimed. 逗号前后都有looking, 句法结构相似，体现的是并列语义逻辑关系，应关注逗号前面的信息Those first few days should be spent looking for work 定位位置出现第三人称指代词，我们应该有意识这个语境是往上文看定位到第二自然段二句话There will now be a seven-day wait for the jobseeker’s allowance. 信息匹配的是B C选项，这里没有提到对津贴的限制，所以答案是C选项。如果同学们没有注意到第三人称指代词，这时上下文语境我们在看信息的时候，也应该挑重点的信息阅读，上文的句子中有now，说明这是作者要强调的地方，关注的信息应该是在上文而不是下文。再看14年第三篇文章第31题
　　The Fundamental Physics Prize is seen as：
　　[A] a symbol of the entrepreneurs’ wealth.
　　[B] a possible replacement of the Nobel Prizes.
　　[C] an example of bankers’ investments.
　　[D] a handsome reward for researchers.
　　这道题是个细节题，第一题的位置看的是第一自然段，根据题干信息定位的话定位不到具体的一句话，这时会通过选项与文中信息匹配，发现B C明显错误，第一自然段The US$3-million Fundamental Physics Prize is indeed an interesting experiment, as Alexander Polyakov said when he accepted this year’s award in March. And it is far from the only one of its type. As a News Feature article in Nature discusses, a string of lucrative awards for researchers have joined the Nobel Prizes in recent years. Many, like the Fundamental Physics Prize, are funded from the telephone-number-sized bank accounts of Internet entrepreneurs. These benefactors have succeeded in their chosen fields, they say, and they want to use their wealth to draw attention to those who have succeeded in science.没有提到replacement和bankers。同学们会在A D两个选项中犹豫，这时我们可以通过现在时间指示词in recent years 知道作者强调的是第三句话，同义转述选的是D选项。
