　　Directions:
　　You have just come back from Canada and found a music CD in your luggage that you forgot to return to Bob, your landlord there. Write him a letter to
　　1) make an apology, and
　　2) suggest a solution.
　　You should write about 100 words on ANSWER SHEET 2.
　　Do not sign your own name at the end of the letter. Use “Li Ming” instead.

　　首先，各位同学要根据之前讲过的方法，审出四点关键信息。①应用文的类型(题干中的关键词“letter”就告诉了各位同学应用文的类型是书信);②书信的类型(大纲中规定的书信类型总共12种，但是根据关键词“apology”就可以判断此信为道歉信); ③称呼语(这封信是写给 “your landlord Bob”, “landlord”是对方与写信人的关系，而 “Bob”则是对方的姓名。如果考试中，各位同学遇到此种情况，那么称呼语首选姓名。因此，这封书信的称呼语为 “Dear Bob，”);④写作背景(You have just come back from Canada and found a music CD in your luggage that you forgot to return to Bob, your landlord there. Write him a letter to make an apology, and suggest a solution.你刚刚从加拿大回来，忘记还房东Bob的CD，为此道歉并提出解决措施)。除此之外，还要注意署名为“Li Ming”，而不是各位同学自己的名字。

　　Dear Bob,
　　I am writing this letter to make apologies to you, because of my forgetting to return your music CD that I borrowed several days ago.
　　Last Friday, we had a party for welcoming our new friends and we danced with the music. Then I found the music was sweet and I borrowed the CD for you. Unfortunately, I forgot to return it to you when I came back because of my hurry. To make up for the problem, I will send it to you by express as soon as possible. If necessary, I will compensate for any troubles it has caused.
　　Once again, I am so sorry for what I have done. I sincerely hope that you might accept my apologies.
　　Sincerely yours,
　　Li Ming
　　面对范文，各位考生要总结思路：第一段，表达情感，简述事由;第二段，具体经过(具体解释道歉的原因以及这件事情的具体经过)，补偿方案;第三段，再表情感，表达期待。
　　在语言上，各位考生可以借鉴的句型如下：表达情感，简述事由的句型“I am writing this letter to make apologies to you, because of……”;在“具体经过”和“补偿方案”之间要注意上下文的衔接。“具体经过+To make up for the problem, I will send it by express as soon as possible. If necessary, I will compensate for any troubles it has caused.”在构思“补偿方案”时，要注意实虚结合;再表情感的句型“Once again, I am so sorry for what I have done.”;表示期待的句型“I sincerely hope that you might accept my apologies.”。
　　在历年的考研真题中，道歉信的考查次数不是太多，但是，大纲中并没有把道歉信剔除在外，因此，各位考生在准备写作时，不要遗忘了考查频率低的书信类型。
