考研英语中，完形填空历来是一个不受重视的题型，因为它难度大、耗时长、分值又少。不过这不足以成为我们从一开始就放弃它的理由，考研战场上每一分都很宝贵，不能轻易放弃。趁2016考研备战还在路上，明确正确的备考策略，也可以将完形填空的10分牢牢把握在自己手中。

profession
指需要经过专门学习和大量训练的法律、医学、教育等脑力劳动方面的职业

occupation
“工作，职业”，是正式或书面用语。 He has no fixed ~.他没有固定职业。
career
指希望终身从事的事业、生涯，强调工作经历或事业上取得成就的一系列工作
an officer with a distinguished ~有着卓越成就的军官
job
指能够提供稳定报酬的工作，作可数名词
She took a ~ as a waitress.她找了个工作，当服务员。
work
~1同job，但为不可数名词
~2也指无报酬的工作
volunteer ~ 志愿工作
trade
指有专门技术的手工行业、手艺
He is an electrician by ~.他的职业是电工。
vocation
指认为特别适合自己或自己非常热爱的工作，不强调获取报酬

强调领取报酬的雇佣关系

泛指“发生的事情”，常被一些表频率的形容词(common, rare, everyday,frequent etc)修饰
Divorce has become a common occurrence in this country. 离婚在这个国家已是习以为常的事。
incident
常指不寻常的或令人讨厌的小事情
One particular incident sticks in my mind.有一件事我总也忘不了。
暴力事件或国家间的军事冲突

issue
人们争论或讨论的问题
The union plans to raise the issue of overtime.工会打算提出加班的问题。
