考研语法小知识：非谓语动词的句子功能

　　大家都知道，一个小句中只能有一个谓语动词，如果表意时需要用到另外一个动词形式，这时候需要用动词的非谓语形式，主要包括不定式、动名词和分词(现在分词和过去分词)。比如，我想要喝水。想要是一个动词，喝水是一个动词，那么我们在写句子时就需要将一个动词变为非谓语动词形式，写成I want to drink water。其中，to drink water作want的宾语。顾名思义，非谓语动词在句子中不能够充当谓语。那么它能够充当哪些句子成分呢?大家来看一下考研阅读中出现的几个与非谓语动词相关的例子。
　　1.Reforming the system would help both lawyers and their customers.
　　reforming the system动名词短语作主语
　　2.Sensible ideas have been around for a long time, but the state-level bodies that govern the profession have been too conservative to implement them.
　　to implement them不定式作状语
　　3.I think it is perhaps the case that some people associated with the company have only recently come to realize this.
　　associated with the company过去分词作定语
　　4.It is financially terrifying, psychologically embarrassing and you know that support is minimal and extraordinarily hard to get.
　　terrifying，embarrassing现在分词短语作表语，to get不定式作状语。
　　通过上面的例子，我们来做一个小结：
　　1.动词不定式和动名词有名词的作用，在句中做主语、宾语、表语、定语、同位语。
　　2.动词不定式和分词有形容词的作用，在句中做定语、表语或宾语补足语。
　　3.动词不定式和分词有副词的作用，在句中作状语。见下表。

　　最后，给大家一个小建议，大家在写作过程中，如果想要使得自己的句式更为高级，可以使用非谓语动词，这样可以用较少的文字表达较为丰富的含义。
