考研英语阅读中的accessible该如何理解

accessible这个单词常常出现在考研英语阅读中，因此考生们在记忆考研英语单词时，一定要加强对accessible这个词的理解。文都考研网为大家带来了2011年考研英语阅读理解的第一篇。
These recordings are cheap, available everywhere, and very often much higher in artistic quality than today’s live performances; moreover, they can be “consumed” at a time and place of the listener’s choosing. The widespread availability of such recordings has thus brought about a crisis in the institution of the traditional classical concert.

定位到原文，答案是第一句，意为“这些唱片价格便宜，到处都有卖的，而且比今天的现场演奏有更高的艺术品质。”答案选项为B，其意思是，大众很容易就能够买得到这些唱片。
Merriam-webster 字典中的释义，再结合上下文，accessible 应理解为Accessible: capable of being reached.也就是说大众都有能力非常容易地就可以买到这些唱片。从这个意义上讲，等同于available,意为可以获得的，可以得到的。
除此以外，accessible 还有另外几个常出现的意思
1) easy to speak or deal with
比如A friendly, accessible boss

2) capable of being used or seen;
Information that should be accessible to everyone.
这个信息应该人人都能看到。

根据构词法，accessible 是由access 加上后缀ble 变化而来，所以access在意思上和accessible 应该会相关的地方。接下来我们看看access 该如何理解。
根据Merriam-webster 字典中的释义，可以解释为
1.Permission, liberty, or ability to enter or approach, or pass to and from a place or to approach or communicate with a person or thing
例如Investigators wanted to get access to his home.
调查人员想获得准许进入他的家。
在这个句子中access 的意思是允许/许可进入某地
Consultants who have easy access to the president
这个顾问可以很容易接触到总统。
此句中，access 意思是能够接触到或者说得上话。
在此项释义中，实际上包含两层意思，一个是与地点的关系，一个是与人的关系。
2.a way or means of entering or approaching
例如A building that provides wheelchair access.
有轮椅通道的大楼
词句中access意思是有设施方便轮椅进入。
从上面几个句子中可以看出，语境不一样，其具体的意思也是变化的，但是如果非要找到一个可以概括以上几个意思的词，我觉得翻译为“可及性”比较合适，可及就是可以触及，达到，产生某种连接，使得原来割裂的，连接到一起。然后结合具体的语境在转化为具体的，适合上下文的词。所以说记忆单词很难做到与语境分离，如果只是单纯地记汉语意思，必然会理解的问题，进而导致做题正确率比较低。
