2015年考研英语：长难句例句剖析

　　到目前为止，很多考生已经学习完了基础语法和长难句课程，但是考研辅导老师在日常教学和答疑过程中发现，有不少考生对于课堂上老师给出的例句没有完全理解，仍有些疑问，老师总结了本周同学问得比较频繁的有关连词的问题，并给出相应的解析。
　　一、原句：But the human mind can glimpse a rapidly changing scene and immediately disregard the 98 percent that is irrelevant, instantaneously focusing on the monkey at the side of a winding forest road or the single suspicious face in a big crowd. (2002年 Text2)
　　主干识别：the human mind can glimpse a rapidly changing scene and immediately disregard the 98 percent
　　问题1：主干部分是不是and连接两个句子，第二个句子主语the human mind 是不是省略了主干的宾语呢?a rapidly changing scene 和the 98 percent作什么成分，the 98 percent是做disregard的宾语吗?immediately是不是副词修饰 disregard?change 写成changing 是为了作scene的定语吗?
　　解析：连词and连接的是情态动词can后面两个并列的动宾短语，不是句子。整个句子的主语是the human mind，并列的两个谓语是can glimpse和(can) disregard， a rapid changing scene是glimpse的宾语， the 98 percent是disregard的宾语。immediately是副词，修饰动词disregard。changing是形容词，作定语。
　　问题2：the monkey or the single suspicious face 为focus on 的并列宾语，or 前后都为名字为什么不是同位语?做focus on 的并列宾语，这是逻辑主语还是什么情况?
　　解析：首先，同位语的定义是一个名词对另一个名词或代词进行修饰，这个名词和它所修饰的名词或代词指的是同一个事物;其次，or是并列连词，前后成分并列，而且不是同一个事物，所以必然不能并列同位语。这里没有逻辑主语，只是or前后并列的名词都是focus on的宾语，所以叫做并列宾语。

　　二、原句：Anyone who has toiled through SAT will testify that test-taking skill also matters, whether it’s knowing when to guess or what questions to skip. (2007年 Text2)
　　问题1：whether 能不能换成that ?为什么?
　　解析：whether不能换成that, whether A or B, 表示选择条件“或者A或者B”、“无论A还是B”。
　　问题2：分析并翻译一下句子，不太明白。
　　解析：句子主干：Anyonewill testifythat test-taking skill also matters.
　　who has toiled through SAT是主语Anyone的定语从句，that test-taking skill also matters是主句testify的宾语从句，whether it’s knowing when to guess or what questions to skip是整个句子的状语。
　　句意：任何熬过学术能力评估测试的人都可以证明，应试技能也很重要，或者知道何时应该猜测或者知道哪些问题可以略过不答。
　　以上这些问题就是考生在学习语法和长难句中提出的与连词相关的共性问题，不同句子中连词的用法不同，建议考生具体问题具体分析，切不可以一概全。祝广大考生备考顺利!
