1. [长难句]
Those who support the“nature”side of the conflict believe that our personalities and behavior patterns are largely determined by biological factors. [句子分析]
①主干：those believe that our personalities and behavior patterns are largely determined by biological factors.
②修饰成分：who support the“nature”side of the conflict为定语从句修饰those表某一类人。
写作中也经常使用这种写法，例如谚语“自助者天助之”可译为：God help those who help themselves.再例如2017年考研英语一写作考察主题“有书”与“读书”，可以写“有很多书的人却不怎么读书。”可造句为“Those who possess a large number of books may scarcely read books.” [词的处理]

2. [长难句]

句子主干为主系表结构=other linguists]were]not always so grateful.
in the earlier part of this century为介词修饰成分修饰主语other linguists
however为插入语，修饰整句话承接与上句之间的转折逻辑关系
who were less eager to deal with bizarre data from“exotic”language为定语从句修饰限定other linguists,该定语从句的翻译时可译为“的”结构，也可根据上下文之间的逻辑关系译为汉语中的“原因状语”。
