The pie chart shows the distribution of the students' purposes of travel in a Chinese university. As can be seen, as much as 37% of the students travel to enjoy the scenery, taking up the largest share. 33% of the students want to relieve pressures in their journey, ranking the second. The remaining 30% was split up by cultivating the notion of independence, making friends and other purposes.
The survey result seems to show that travel is an important occasion for Chinese students to see the world's beautiful and grand scenery and to relax themselves. On one hand, with the prosperity of tourism, college students are exposed to a large amount of tourist information, which lure them to go out of the campus and see what the outside is like. On the other hand, pressures of study, employment and interpersonal relationships surge among college students. Under this circumstance, travel is a good way to find a temporary haven.
