　　But it’s not just a gender thing. At work, people pretty much know what they’re supposed to be doing: working, making money, doing the tasks they have to do in order to draw an income. The bargain is very pure: Employee puts in hours of physical or mental labor and employee draws out life-sustaining moola.

　　On the home front, however, people have no such clarity. Rare is the household in which the division of labor is so clinically and methodically laid out. 　　however“然而”，表转折，说明在家里情况与在上文提到的工作中是不一样的；clarity“明确性”。接下来就是对该句的补充说明。Rare is the household为倒装结构，正常语序是The household is rare（家庭是稀有的）。什么样的家庭呢？in which引导定语从句，“在这样的家庭里”；division of labor“劳动分工”；clinically“不偏不倚地”；methodically“有条理地”；lay out“安排”。“劳动分工是如此地不偏不倚和有条理地安排，这样的家庭是稀有的。”因此25. The home front differs from the workplace in that________.即选division of labor at home is seldom clear-cut. talk sb. into sth.可以表示“说服某人做某事”。
　　So it’s not surprising that people are more stressed at home. Not only are the tasks apparently infinite, the co-workers are much harder to motivate.
　　not only位于句首，句子部分倒装；infinite“无限的”；motivate“激励”。
