Spotlight: Chinese universities enjoy higher global rankings
《泰晤士高等教育》世界大学排行榜出炉，这些中国大学表现出色!
LONDON, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- A total of 66 institutions from China were
included in a world university ranking published here Tuesday by the Times
Higher Education.
新华网伦敦9月5日电 中国共计66所学府被列入了于周二发布的《泰晤士高等教育》世界大学排名当中。
Key institutions that moved up the list from last year’s rankings include
Peking University, which went from 29th to 27th place, reaching the same rank as
the University of Edinburgh and New York University. Tsinghua University
increased from 35th place to 30th, overtaking the University of Melbourne,
Georgia Institute of Technology, and LMU Munich. Fudan University climbed 39
places to 116th position.
排名从去年有所上升的重点学府包括北京大学，该校从第29名上升至第27名，与爱丁堡大学和纽约大学齐名。清华大学从第35名上升至第30名，力压墨尔本大学、乔治亚理工学院和慕尼黑大学。复旦大学上升了39个名次，至第116名。
China’s Hong Kong has six universities in this year’s ranking, including
three in the top 100 and two in the top 50. The University of Hong Kong is Hong
Kong’s number one institution, ranking number 40.
中国香港有六所大学位列今年的排名之中，包括三所位居前百，两所位居前50。香港大学是香港的第一学府，排名第40名。
Globally, the University of Oxford retained first place in the rankings.
The University of Cambridge climbed two places to second, overtaking the
California Institute of Technology and Stanford University, both in third place.
In terms of institution numbers, the United States continues to dominate the
rankings.
就全球而言，牛津大学在排名中保留第一的位置。剑桥大学上升了两个名次，至第二名，力压排名第三的加州理工学院和斯坦福大学。就学府数量而言，美国仍在排名中保持主导地位。
In Asia, the National University of Singapore tops the ranking in this
region, in 22nd place globally. Japan’s flagship, the University of Tokyo, has
fallen to its lowest position in the 13-year history of the table to 46th place.
And three of South Korea’s leading universities have declined.
在亚洲，新加坡国立大学排名第一，位居全球第22名。日本的旗舰大学东京大学跌至了13年来最低位置，排名第46名。韩国三所领先大学排名也有所下降。
