Chinese lawyers warn against urban free climbing
“天津爬楼攻略”引网友大怒：作死请不要影响他人!
A recent social media post, extolling the virtues of Free Climbing in
Tianjin has aroused legal concern.
最近社交媒体上一篇鼓吹在天津自由爬楼的文章引起了法律界人士的注意。
The post entitled, ’A strategy for free climbing in Tianjin’ was left by a
man called Ma, and was accompanied by selfies and views taken on private
rooftops and high rise buildings.
该篇文章名为《天津爬楼攻略》，作者马先生在发表文章时还发布了一些自己爬楼的自拍和从大厦顶部拍摄的照片。
Interviewed by the Beijing Youth Daily, Ma said that he had climbed many
rooftops and high-rise buildings including the Golden Valley Center and Tianjin
Junlin Building. In some of the photos he posted, he can be seen sitting
precariously on the ledge of a rooftop. In addition, in his strategy article, Ma
also offers advice on taking photos, such as how to place a camera, how to
access locked rooftops, and even how to avoid the attention of security
personnel.
接受《北京青年报》采访时，马先生表示自己曾经爬过许多高楼大厦，包括天津金谷大厦和君临大厦等等。从马先生发布的一些照片中，可以看到他毫无保护地坐在大厦屋顶的边缘。此外，在他的“攻略”文章中，他还提供了一些拍照(比如如何摆放摄像机)，如何进入上锁的楼顶，甚至以及如何避开安全人员注意等方面的建议。
The article has prompted much online comment, with many raising safety
concerns.

Some lawyers have commented that taking photos on private roof spaces or on
high-rise buildings lays the perpetrator open to prosecution on public order
offences.
而一些律师则评论说，在私人屋顶或高层建筑上拍照可能涉嫌危害公共秩序。
Some suggest Ma ought to get permission beforehand from the building’s
owners as they might seek compensation if he damages the building or public
facilities during his photography exploits.
一些人则建议马先生应当事先征得建筑业主的许可，因为如果他在拍照过程中毁坏了建筑或公共设施，可能会被索赔。
In response, Ma said he was unclear about the relevant regulations.
而在回应中，马先生则表示自己对相关法律法规不熟悉。
