    BEIJING, Aug 7 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese pilot and his crew left Beijing Sunday
on a flight across the globe, the first around-the-world flight from China.
    北京，8月7日(新华社)——8月7日，一名中国飞行员带着他的机组人员，从北京出发，启动了中国的首次环球飞行。
    After two years of careful preparation, the single-engine turboprop TMB700
aircraft left Beijing Capital International Airport Sunday afternoon.
    经过两年多的紧密筹备，7日下午，单引擎涡轮螺旋桨飞机TMB700从北京首都国际机场启航。
    The 58-day journey will cover 40,000 kilometers and over 20 countries
including Russia, the United States, Canada, Iceland and Britain.
    58天的飞行里程约为8万里，将飞越包括俄罗斯、美国、加拿大、冰岛和英国在内的20多个国家。
    According to pilot Zhang Bo, who is in his fifties, there will be around 50
stops, and will follow part of the Ancient Silk Road trade route.
    据已50多岁的飞行员张博介绍，此次环球飞行将途经50多个站点，古丝绸之路也是本次航线的一部分。
    As an aviation enthusiast, Zhang learned to fly while studying for his
doctor’s degree at the University of Illinois. He now has over 600 hours’ flying
experience.
    作为一个飞行爱好者，张博在伊利诺伊大学攻读博士学位时就考取了飞行员执照，学会了开飞机，现在已经有近600小时的飞行经验。
