These assault weapons are weapons of war and they have no place in the

States military for over 50 years," Rolling Stone reported.

President Obama has repeatedly called for the reinstatement of the ban, but
various efforts at gun control have stalled during his administration.

Frequently, Obama’s calls for reforms have only increased demands for
weapons, as occurred in 2014 when he called for restrictions on assault weapons

Hillary Clinton renewed her call for gun control Monday.

’I believe weapons of war have no place on our streets,’ Clinton said in a
speech Monday, echoing the White House verbiage.
