    The United Nations is facing a historic decision. For the first time in its history, a public audition was held for the nine secretary-general candidates. At the auditions, which ran from April 14 to 16, the candidates spoke about their visions for the UN and took questions from the General Assembly. Ban Ki-moon, the current UN secretary-general, will end his 5-year term on Dec 31.
