Third Straight Win for Chinese Volleyball Team

    The Chinese volleyball team edged host Indonesia 3-2 for its third straight victory in the top eight round of the Asian men's volleyball championship in Jakarta on Wednesday.
Fang Yingchao scored 23 points to lead China to a 25-16, 25-15, 21-25, 23-25 and 15-10 victory over Indonesia.
Cui Jianjun had 20 points and Shen Qiong 18.
China took the opening two sets easily but the host launched a great run in the third set and never looked back on its way to the fifth set.
"It is a hard game," said China head coach Zhou Jian'an. "The first two sets were easy but in the third and fourth set, they changed their setter, which was a turning point."
"Indonesia became faster and more defensive, the style which our players were not used to. But at last, we overcame pressure to win the game. I'm satisfied with that."
China finally found their touch in the final set as they took an early lead 7-3 and sealed the victory 25-10 on a powerful spike from Yu Dawei.
Hu Dayu, head coach of Indonesia, said highly of his players and said that he hadn't expected Indonesia to force China into the deciding set.
"We didn't expect that we could did such a great job and in the fifth set, we were too excited to do the right things. I am proud of my players," said Hu.
Sugiatno Joni had 18 points for Indonesia, Riviansyah Muhamad added 17 and Rizal Ayip 11.
With the victory, China has became one of the two unbeaten teams in the tournament. The other is Australia who will face Iran later Wednesday. (实习编辑：顾萍）
