As a grand art carnival initiated by China's Federation of Literary       and Art Circles in 1990, the triennial festival, featuring international,       national and grass-root flavor, is aimed to develop and promote exchange       of folk arts across the world. Starting on Tuesday, this year's CIFAF is       acclaimed as the largest ever in the country with nearly 460 artists from       22 countries and regions staging indoor and outdoor performances.
