As is subtly shown in the cartoon, two tourists are taking sightseeing on a small boat while discarding their picnicing leftovers casually into a lake which is already littered and filled with flowing rubbish like plastic containers, banana skin, bottles, tins and so on. And below the picture, there is a topic which says : 'after' the travel.
     The purpose of the picture is to show us that due attention has to be paid to the tourism's negative effects on the environment. With the rapid economic development, a good many scenic spots are flooded with visitors who ruin the beauty of nature by leaving behind a great amount of garbage. On the one hand, tourism, treated as an engine of economy, does help to shore up the economy especially in some places which offer few sources of income. On the other hand, there is no doubt that tourism makes bad effects on the environment: water is polluted, ecological system is disturbed, and natural resources have been excessively used. And these are not concerns that we can shrug off lightly.
     Without doubt, no country will give up this multibillion-dollar business as it is benefit to the development of economy. The meaningful point is that excessive exploitation of natural environment may hinder the economic sustainable development .It is high time that we enhanced the awareness of people that we should take the natural environment into consideration so that we will have a brighter future.
