     1. I have been transformed from a passionate advocate of the philosophy of “have it all”,preached by Linda Kelsey for the past seven years in the pages of She magazine,into a woman who is happy to settle for a bit of everything.

     【译文】 琳达?凯希过去七年中在《她》这本杂志中一直宣扬“拥有一切”哲学。我曾是这种哲学思想的狂热支持者，但我现在变了一个人，成为乐于接受任何东西只要一丁点的女人。
     【析句】 I have been transformed是全句的主干，句子的其余成分作状语。 preached by… She magazine是一个过去分词结构，修饰the philosophy of “have it all”。who is happy to settle for a bit of everything是一个定语从句，修饰a woman。由于英文原句较为破碎，各种修饰成分太多，建议在翻译时重建句子结构。
     【讲词】 transform意为“转换，改变，改造，变形”。Success and wealth transformed his character.（成功和财富改变了他的性格。）The reform policy has transformed China into a welloff country.（改革政策使中国成为一个小康的国家。）
preach意为“传道；宣扬”。My father always preaches at me.（我爸爸老跟我唠叨。）
settle for意为“满足于；勉强接受”。I can settle for a pay raise and one week on holiday.（我可以接受的条件是涨薪水，外加一周休假。）

     2. I have discovered,as perhaps Kelsey will after her muchpublicized resignation from the editorship of She after a buildup of stress,that abandoning the doctrine of “juggling your life”,and making the alternative move into “downshifting” brings with it far greater rewards than financial success and social status.

     【译文】 我已经发现放弃“忙忙碌碌”的生活哲学，转而过一种“放慢生活节奏”的生活，所带来的回报比经济成功和社会地位更有价值。凯希因压力过大而辞去了《她》杂志编辑一职，辞职一事闹得纷纷扬扬之后，她也许会有同样的发现。
     【析句】 句子的主干结构是I have discovered所跟宾语从句的主语是两个现在分词结构（abandoning…和making…）。as perhaps… buildup of stress既是全句的伴随状语，又是全句的插入语，而after her… buildup of stress是插入语的时间状语。
     【讲词】 publicize意为“宣扬，为公众所注意”。We need to publicize the product.（我们需要宣传这一产品。）muchpublicized意指渲染得很厉害。publicity是publicize的名词形式，publicity campaign意为“宣扬攻势”。
     She是一本女性杂志的名字，因此首字母须大写。
     buildup意为“积聚”，例如：a military buildup（军备增加），a build up of tension（形势更趋紧张）。
