Ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle viewed laughter as "a bodily
exercise(主题) precious to health(态度)." ....
3.[A]stabilizing [B]boosting [C]impairing [D]determining
8.[A]hardens [B]weakens [C]tightens [D]relaxes
10.[A]physical [B]mental [C]subconscious [D]internal
__11__ when homeless individuals manage to find a __12__ that will give
them three meals a day and a place to sleep at night, a good number still spend
the bulk of each day __13__ the street.
11. [A] Hence [B] But [C] Even [D] Only
12. [A] lodging [B] shelter [C] dwelling [D] house
13. [A] searching [B] strolling [C] crowding [D] wandering
答案:[B] shelter
will give them three meals a day and a place to sleep at
Even.
Dr. Simonsohn found if the score of the previous candidate in a
daily series of interviewees was 0.75 points or more higher than that of the one
17 that, then the score for the next applicant would 18 by an average of 0.075
points. This might sound small, but to 19 the effects of such a decrease
17. [A] below [B] after [C] above [D] before
18. [A] jump [B] float [C] fluctuate [D] drop
答案:17D线索在"the next applicant";18D线索是19题所在句子中的such a
常见的句内并列/转折结构有: not/never/hardly…+but;would not… rather than…;not so much…
as…
例:Our legal system was designed to set law apart from politics precisely
because they are so closely __14____.
[A]guarded [B]followed [C]studied [D]tied
答案:[D]tied,解题线索set law apart from politics
The homeless make up a growing percentage of America's population. ....
Estimates ____6__ anywhere from 600,000 to 3 million. ___7__ the figure may
vary, analysts do agree on another matter: that the number of the homeless is
___8___.
[A]inflating [B]expanding [C]increasing [D]extending
答案:[C]increasing
but=yet(句首)
However, = nevertheless, whereas
while = although however,
provided/ing that=supposed/ing that=assuming that=if
given that=considering
so that =such that
so…that≠such…that
so=hence=thus therefore,=consequently,
because =as
since =now that
(2012年)the court should make itself 6 to the code of conduct 关联 by making
themselves 19 to the code of conduct.
6. [A]resistant [B]subject [C]immune [D]prone
19. [A]accessible [B]amiable [C]agreeable [D]accountable
[B]subject 19. [D]accountable--同义词
