要把握住文章中心，首先要弄清楚文章的展开方式。总的来说，考研阅读理解的文章大多数情况下按以下套路写作：
1. say it 开门见山型，即文章一开头就直接亮明中心
文章展开方式：演绎法 文章中心位置：第一段
2. say what you are going to say 抛砖引玉启或承传合型
文章展开方式1. 铺垫法 通过一个例子或引用一段话引出文章中心
文章中心位置：第一段最后一句，或者第二段第一句
文章展开方式2. 转折法 首段先提出一种观点，然后反驳之。
文章中心位置：转折词后
3. say it again 分总型
文章展开方式：归纳法 文章一开始并不亮明中心，而是要在结尾段落才给出观点。
文章中心位置：最后一段
4. 其他 中心需要自己概况，这种情况极其少见。
那么，结合以上对文章写作套路的把握，文章中心的位置其实就很好判断了。通常应该出现在首段，二段首或尾段：
1. 首段或二段首有问句，问题答案是中心;
2. 首段或二段首有转折，转折处是中心;
3. 首段出现例子或引用，则例子或引用之后为中心;
4. 若无上述情况，则首段首句为中心或文章中心需要概况。
下面以2000年text 3 为例，来分析抓中心对解题的作用。 我们把首段，二段首和尾段首句挑出来，并将文中中心画上下划线，则结果如下：
When a new movement in art attains a certain fashion, it is advisable to

unreasonable their principles may seem today, it is possible that in years to
come they may be regarded as normal. With regard to Futurist poetry, however,
the case is rather difficult, for whatever Futurist poetry may be -- even

classed as Literature.
This, in brief, is what the Futurist says;
This, though it fulfills the laws and requirements of Futurist poetry, can
hardly be classed as Literature.
