Dear John,
How have you been recently? It’s really been a long time since we met. I hope everything is going well with you. Actually, I am writing to you about your Postgraduate Admission Exam.
I heard from Mary that you failed in it. It is indeed a pity. I know that you had tried your best to prepare for it for nearly a year. But, you know, things happen. I know it is easier said than done, but I still want to say: take it easy. What’s more, as the saying goes, misfortune might be a fortune in disguise. You should believe that you will have your own day.
If you truly want to get a master degree, just have another try. What you need to do is to learn a lesson from your failure and trust the proverb: failure teaches success. I believe you can do it. If I can be of any help, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
