winner can’t ask about his next investment)

A private lunch with billionaire Warren Buffett has been sold to the
highest bidder for almost $2.7million during an annual charity auction. But he
still won’t talk about his next investment over steak.
在一场年度慈善拍卖会中，和亿万富翁巴菲特的私人午餐机会被拍卖出了270万美元的天价。但是竞拍胜者还不能在共进午餐时问及巴菲特下一次投资计划。
The bid was $2,679,001. The winner wishes to remain anonymous.

Last year’s bid of $3,456,789 tied for the record highest bid. In 2012, the
winner also paid $3,456,789.
去年和巴菲特共进午餐的机会被拍卖出了3456789美元的价格，和历史最高价格持平，2012年时胜者同样支付了3456789美元。
This year’s eBay auction began Sunday and wrapped up Friday night around
10pm.

The auction benefits the Glide Foundation, a San-Francisco-based homeless
charity. Buffett’s first wife, Susie, volunteered with the organization before
her death in 2004. He has been a big believer in the charity, often touting its
work.

in the conversation is what he might invest in next. The 86-year-old says he
usually gets a wide range of questions.

The winners of the lunch auction typically dine with Buffett at the Smith
and Wollensky steak house in New York City, which donates at least $10,000 to
Glide each year to host the lunch. The meal has sometimes moved elsewhere for
anonymous winners.

through the auctions. The self-made billionaire is worth $76.2billion, according
to Forbes, making him the third richest man in the world, behind only Amazon
founder Jeff Bezos, who overtook him as number two, and Microsoft founder Bill
Gates.
