　　distant， remote
       
　　distant 与remote 相似点较多，都可指“(时间上)久远的”，如：in the distant/remote past/future 在遥远的过去/将来;“(人)远亲的;不友好的，疏远的”，如：distant/remote politeness 冷漠的拘礼态度;“不同的，不相关的”，常用~from，如：a life distant/remote from his own 与他自己的生活不同的生活。

　　还引申为”心不在焉的” a distant look in her eyes 眼神恍惚
