　　China rejected a ruling by the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, which found in favour of the Philippines in a case about territorial claims in the South China Sea. The court said China’s nine-dash line, used to assert jurisdiction over most of the sea, had no legal basis. It also strongly criticised the building of artificial islands.
