三、书信基本框架
(一)称呼(顶格写)
1、写给机构：Dear Sir,
Dear Sir or Madam,
To Whom It May Concern,
2、写给个人：Dear +人名，
Dear Bob,
Dear Zhang Wei,
Dear Editors,
(二)正文 (三段式)
1、第一段：1--2句
1) 写作目的
(1) I’m writing the letter to complain about the service of our university canteen.
(2) I am writing the letter for the purpose of offering some/several useful/conducive/practical
suggestions/proposals/recommendations to you.
(3) I am writing the letter to express my sincere apology to you.
(4) I’m writing the letter to express my sincere/heartfelt gratitude to you.
(5) I’m writing to extend our warmest/ heartfelt welcome to you.
(6) I’m writing to congratulate you on your being successfully admitted to Peking University.
(7) I am writing the letter to recommend my favorite movie to you.
(8) I’m writing to invite you to be the judge for the upcoming English speech contest.
(9) I’m writing the letter for the purpose of inquiring about the possibility of transferring to
computer major.
(10) I’m writing the letter to ask for your advice about the new apartment I’m looking for.
(11) I’m writing to apply for the position as a computer engineer in your company.
(12) I’m writing to inform you about the decision to resign from my current situation.
2) 自我介绍(题目要求进行自我介绍时才写)
(1) 学生：I am a student majoring in Chinese Language and Literature/in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature.
(2) 工作人员：I am a staff member of your company/XXX company.
2、第二段：3—4句(论点+ 2--3个分论点)
1) 论点(主题句)
(1) My suggestions /dissatisfactions/complaints/plans are as follows.
The reasons (for my application) are as follows.
(2) In order to enrich your university life, I’d like to offer you some suggestions as follows.
2) 分论点(扩展句)
(1) Firstly/ First and foremost/In the first place, ...... Secondly/ In addition/Besides/What’s more/ Furthermore, …… Finally/ Last but not least, ……
(2) For one thing, …… For another, ……/ On the one hand, …… On the other hand, ……
3、第三段：2句左右
1) 再次点明写作目的
(1) I sincerely hope that my complaints/ request/application will be taken into full account.
I sincerely hope that my suggestions/recommendations would be of help to solve the problem.
I sincerely hope that you will find my proposals conducive and feasible.
(2) Please accept my sincere/heartfelt appreciation/gratitude for your kind help again.
Please accept my sincere apology again for any inconvenience caused due to my carelessness.
2) 期待回信
(1) I am looking forward to your favorable reply at your earliest convenience.
(2) I look forward to hearing from you soon/your earlier reply.
3) 表示感谢
