弘扬民族文化
Portrayed in the above cartoon are several china vases on which paints a panda playing kongfu. A bunch of special flowers in one of the vases bears the Chinese character “the East”, which represents China, a great nation in the east.
It is obvious that the purpose of the cartoon is to remind us to promote Chinese culture. As our Chinese society is progressing, both economically and politically, Chinese splendid culture of over 5, 000 years has also been appreciated and shared by people from other cultural backgrounds around the world. Now China presents a new image to the world which is becoming increasingly attractive and appealing. For instance, news stories are reported and broadcasted every day all over the world about what is going on in China. As is reported, now there are 72 Confucius Institutes in 26 European countries established to spread Chinese language and culture.
To conclude, as Chinese citizens, we should take pride in our national culture. Meanwhile, it is the responsibility of each Chinese citizen to cherish our national culture as priceless spiritual treasure and to promote our excellent traditional Chinese culture to the world.

老外喜欢过春节
What is depicted here is a very interesting scenario. A group of foreigners dressed in traditional Chinese festive costumes stand in two rows. From the subtitle we know that they are participating in annual celebration of the Chinese Spring Festival, their faces revealing happiness and satisfaction.
We can deduce from the picture that the world is paying more attention to the time-honored traditional Chinese culture. It partly owes to China’s growth into one of the world’s principle economies, and partly to the colorful and diversified components in the culture itself. Apart from what is reflected in the picture, there is bountiful evidence demonstrating the prevailing influence and surge of Chinese culture. For example, it has become a convention for French president to congratulate on Chinese New Year every year.
To conclude, I believe that the world’s fascination about Chinese culture brings China and the rest of the world closer. We should look beyond the mutual benefits of economic cooperation and give cultural exchanges a larger role to play because they can not only promote international friendship at home and abroad, but create a favorable environment where China can develop better. Lastly, they also contribute vastly to world peace and prosperity. |
