　　苏轼的绝句《春夜》是一首描写春夜景色的小诗。全诗明白如画却立意深沉，在冷静自然的描写中，含蓄委婉地透露出作者对醉生梦死、贪图享乐、不惜光阴的人的深深谴责。诗人用“春宵一刻值千金”这句开头，对春夜的由衷赞美引发了人们对光阴可贵的联想。“一年之计在于春”，春是一年之始，春风骀荡，万物复苏，花草飘香，春代表着生命，象征着希望，然而春光美好，却又非常短暂，因此人们在歌颂春的同时，也意识到光阴的可贵。

　　这是一首怀人之作。词人把漂泊异乡的落魄感受，同怀念意中人的缠绵情思结合在一起写，采用“曲径通幽”的表现方式，抒情写景，感情真挚。这首词妙紧拓“春愁”即“相思”，却又迟迟不肯说破，只是从字里行间向读者透露出一些消息，眼看要写到了，却又煞住，调转笔墨，如此影影绰绰，扑朔迷离，千回百折，直到最后一句，才使真相大白。在词的最后两句相思感情达到高潮的时候，戛然而止，激情回荡，又具有很强的感染力。

　　这是一首感旧怀人的名篇，本词为怀念歌女小苹所作。上片写别后的孤独和刻骨相思，写今日，下片追忆初见小萍时的印象及小苹归去时的情景，写去时的情景，写去年。据作者《小山词》自跋所述，作者好友沈廉叔、陈君友家有莲、鸿、苹、云四个歌女，词人及其好友的新词经常由她们在席间歌唱。作者和词中小苹亦曾有过一段恋情，后沈殁陈病，小苹等人也就风飘云散，不知去向。
