考研英语语法：it形式主语句型

　　在英语表达中最为忌讳的是头重脚轻的现象，为了避免这种现象，英语表达中多使用it形式主语句型。同时，这也是考研英语中的高频考点。比如：When and where to learn English is difficult to decide.在本句中主语是When and where to learn English比较长，那么为了避免主语过长，我们可以借助it形式主语句型：It is difficult to decide when and where to learn English. It是形式主语，而真正的主语是when and where to learn English。这样就避免了主语过长的情况。而这个句型恰恰是考研英语中运用最为频繁的it形式主语句型：it is +adj.+ that(主从)。下面从真题的角度对it形式主语句型进行分析。
　　1.It is obvious that their views were less fully intellectualized.
　　本句中it是形式主语，真正的主语是their views were less fully intellectualized，使用的是it is +adj.+ that(主从)句型。
　　翻译：很明显，他们的观点并不完全具有学术型。
　　2. In fact, it is difficult to see how journalists who do not have a clear grasp of the basic features of the Canadian Constitution can do a competent job on political stories.
　　本句中的it是形式主语，真正的主语是how journalists who do not have a clear grasp of the basic features of the Canadian Constitution can do a competent job on political stories，使用的是it is +adj.+ how(主从)句型。
　　翻译：事实上，人们很难想象那些对于没有清晰掌握加拿大宪法的基本特点的新闻工作者能够胜任报道政治方面的新闻的工作。
　　3. It is said that in England death is pressing, in Canada inevitable and in California optional.
　　本句中it是形式主语，真正的主语是in England death is pressing, in Canada inevitable and in California optional，使用的是it is +过去分词+ that(主从)句型。
　　翻译：据说在英国死亡很紧迫，在加拿大死亡不可避免，在加利福尼亚死亡可以选择。
　　4. It turns out that the peculiar way of conducting the experiments may have led to misleading interpretations of what happened.
　　本句中使用的是it +不及物动词+ that(主从)句型。
　　翻译：结果表明是实验所采取的独特方式造成了对所发生的事情的误解。
　　5. It makes no difference how you write, just so you do.
　　本句中it是形式主语，真正的主语是how you write。
　　翻译：其实,如何写并不重要,重要的是你要付诸笔端。
　　It形式主语句型在考研英语中主要有五种类型：it is +adj.+ that(主从)，it is +过去分词+ that(主从)，it +不及物动词+ that(主从)句型，it is+名词短语+ that(主从)以及it形式主语的其他结构。其中以it is +adj.+ that(主从)在考研英语中运用得最为广泛。It形式主语句型很好的体现了英语是一门尾重型的语言，即我们常说的避免英语表达中头重脚轻的现象。It形式主语句型是考生必须掌握的高频考点。
