2010年延续了之前的考查形式，仍然考两篇作文。而就短文写作而言，仍然考查图画作文的写作。本文就此年的这篇短文写作进行详细解析。

首先就审题而言，诸考生们需要掌握短文写作题型的审题技巧，以更快、更有效地做题。
1. 文字性规定部分
Write an essay of 160-200 words based on the following drawing. In your essay, you should

本部分规定的内容每年都差不多。对于此部分，考生们只需在审题时关注一个内容即可，即题目所给出的作文写作提纲。

显然，题目要求作文要包括三个内容：描述图画，阐释寓意，给出评论。这也就是图画作文的文章结构，分为三段话，每段话完成一个题目要求。
2. 图画部分
本题中的图画属于漫画类型，这也是考研英语(一)的短文写作经常采用的图画类型，反映了一定的社会热点话题。图画中汉字和图画相结合，减小了看图的难度。汉字为：文化“火锅”，既美味又营养。图画方面，内容与文字非常符合。在一个火锅里，有许多文化元素，如佛、儒、解构、爱因斯坦等，它们都代表了中国文化和外国文化。结合汉字和图画，可得出寓意为：中外文化交流非常普遍。属于一个典型的社会现象类话题。对于这一题目，写作时需分为三段话，接下来就写作思路进行具体解析：
(1)描述图画
对于描述图画而言，考生们在写作时往往会出现两个极端状况：觉得描图不重要，随随便便写一点图画的内容;或者，觉得特别重要，而担心遗漏图画的内容，以至于“眉毛胡子一把抓”。对于本题，主要任务就是能通过描述图画来显示出寓意，所以要描述重点细节，也就是与寓意相关的图画细节，比如火锅里的东西包括外国文化和中国文化。此外，描图时，还需注意观察图画时的先后顺序，注意写作逻辑。具体语言详见参考范文。
(2)阐释寓意
本段中，考生的主要问题在于没有明确的写作思路，以致乱写一通，凑凑字数，而显得非常空洞，没什么意义。因此，对于寓意阐释段，大家务必要找到其写作角度，从而“柳暗花明又一村”，打开写作思路。本题中，可分析合作这一现象在生活中的影响。此外，还须注意写作的段落结构以及组织连贯性，具体内容上最好分条陈述。具体语言详见参考范文。
(3)给出评论
本段内容比较简单，就是针对第二段中分析的这一现象提出在日常生活中应该如何面对，比如政府、社会、媒体、个人等应该如何合理应对文化交流这种利弊皆有的现象。具体语言详见参考范文。

Here is a picture, simple but with profound implication. As is vividly revealed in the photo, many things are boiling in a hotpot, which successfully captures our eyes. After a closer watch, it is not difficult to find that they are cultural ingredients from western and eastern world, such as Kung fu, Shakespeare and so on. Definitely, the drawing is supposed to be given deep consideration.
With the increasing pace of modern life, perhaps no change has characterized the past decade more dramatically than the appearance and wide spread of cultural blending. Naturally, it brings us both advantages and disadvantages. As for my part, the former outweighs its latter. On the top of list is that cultural integration makes people from different countries communicate increasingly conveniently in this rapidly modernizing world. In addition, there is the other point that no one can ignore. It is universally admitted that culture exchange is also a powerful means to promote further cultural development and maintenance. No other case can better illustrate the consequences of what I have discussed than the picture above.
According to the analysis above, it is advisable for us to take steps to maximize its positive effects and minimize the disadvantages. Of all the steps, mass media tends to function essentially in the work. Only in this way can we make the best of the value of cultural fusion and let it contribute to our life.
