　　Dear Classmates,
　　As the monitor of our class, I am writing to call on all students to take part in a charity sale which will be held on January 10.
　　I appeal to everyone in our class to donate as much as you can to a fund that we have set up to cover their tuition fees and other expenses. As long as we can raise sufficient money, those poor kids will be able to afford their education and finish school.
　　As a nation renowned in the world for many of its virtues, we Chinese people have been giving a helping hand to those who are in distress throughout history. It is our duty to provide as much support as we can to those in need. Please contribute generously.
　　Two months ago you got a job as an editor for the magazine Designs & Fashions. But now you find that the work is not what you expected. You decide to quit. Write a letter to your boss, Mr. Wang, telling him your decision, stating your reason (s), and making an apology.
　　Write your letter with no less than 100 words. Write it neatly on ANSWER SHEET 2.
　　Do not sign your own name at the end of the letter; use “Li Ming” instead.

　　Dear Mr. Wang,
　　I am writing this letter to apologize that I will quit the position as an editor for your magazine for the reason of myself.
　　During the period working here, I have come to realize that the job probably is not suitable for me, because I want a more peaceful life, such as a teacher. And you know that I am not an out-going girl, I find that I am not able to devote all my efforts to a job which I do not really like.
　　I was deeply impressed by the kindness, diligence of all staff around. Therefore, I am so sorry to tell you my decision to quit.
