    　　副词转译成动词
    【翻译技巧分析】
    英译汉中，有些时候根据句义需要，会把一些副词转译为动词。如：She opened the window to let fresh air
in.(她把窗子打开，让新鲜空气进来。)，这个句子中结尾的副词“in”，不能翻译成“让空气在里边”，而是译为动词“让……进来”。
    　　介词转译成动词
    【翻译技巧分析】
    英语中介词非常多，并且有相当多的数量是不仅表达时间、地点功能，并且含有动作意味。这一类介词可以转译为动词，这样也更加符合汉语表达习惯。如：As we
all know, women in China are now freely taking part in work outside their
homes.(众所周知，在中国，女性已经走出家门，自由地参加工作了。)，该句中介词“outside”既具有动作性，又具有方位性;如果按介词翻译，那么译文是
“众所周知，中国的女性现在已经在她们的家庭之外自由地参加工作了”。该译文显然不符合汉语的表达习惯，所以我们把介词转译为动词“走出”。

    例：Galileo’s greatest glory was that in 1609 he was the first person to turn
the newly invented telescope on the heavens to prove that the planets revolve
around the sun rather than around the earth. [1994年第74题]
    [分析]
    (1)句子分析：Galileo’s greatest glory was //that in 1609 he was the first person
to turn the newly invented telescope on the heavens // to prove that the planets
revolve around the sun rather than around the earth.
    (2)词义确定：glory：荣誉;revolve around：绕着……旋转;rather than 而不是
    (3)参考译文：伽利略的最光辉业绩在于他在1609年第一个把新发明的望远镜对准天空，以证实行星是围绕太阳旋转而不是围绕地球旋转的。
    (4)技巧点拨：“turn the newly invented telescope on the heavens
”在此句中不能译为“在天空中打开”，根据汉语表达习惯，译为“对准，瞄准”更好一些，所以，把介词“on”译成动词。
    　　名词与副词的互相转译
    【翻译技巧分析】
    英语中副词和名词的相互转译也占据了很大的比例，这两者之间的相互转译可以使译文更加通顺、地道。例如：
    1、名词转译成副词。如：The new mayor earned some appreciation by the courtesy of
coming to visit the poor in the city. ( 新市长有礼貌地前来访问城市贫民，获得了他们的一些好感。)，在此句中，“the
courtesy of coming to visit the city poor”短语中的名词“courtesy”
被转译为“有礼貌地”。这一译法使句子更加符合汉语表达。
    2、副词转译成名词。如：“It is officially announced that China has successfully
launched her first manned
spaceship.”(官方宣布，中国已经成功的实现了载人航天。)，句中的“officially”翻译为名词“官方”。
