　　2017考研英语：时时检测自己基础的夯实度(三)
　　我们复习考研英语阅读要掌握方法，但是写作需要我们有比较夯实的基础，切忌一些简单语法错误的出现，因此，在写作夯实部分，要保证语法的知识都掌握的不错，文都考研的课程中在写作部分老师会串一些语法点，并给大家一些相应的练习，今天文都考研英语辅导靖老师就大家目前问的比较多的练习题目进行梳理总结，希望对大家有所帮助。
　　1. This machine, ---- for many years, is still working perfectly.
　　A.after which I have looked B.which I have looked after

　　该题是定语从句中介词加关系词的考察，比如这句话This is the teacher from whom we’ve learned a lot. 中介词是可以前置的，但是当定语从句中的谓语动词短语是固定搭配，不可分割时，那么动词短语中的介词不能前置。e.g. This is the pen which I’m looking for. 不能写成：This is the pen for which I’m looking.同理，该题中look after是固定搭配，不可分割，因此不选A而选B。
　　2. He is working hard, --- will make him pass the final exam.
　　A.that B.which C.for which D.who
　　该题也是定语从句的考察，定语从句中不缺少介词for，也就是谓语动词make不与for搭配，因此，不选C而选B。
　　3. That is not the way---I do it.
　　A. / B.which C.for which D.with which
　　此题考察定语从句中关系词的省略，大致有以下三种情况：一、关系代词在限制性定语从句中的省略场合，(一) 当关系代词：that, which, who, whom 在限制性定语从句中作宾语时可以省略。The teacher (that / who / whom) you wish to visit has come.(二)当关系代词that在定语从句中作表语时可以省略。China is not the country (that) it was.(三)当关系代词that, which, who在定语从句中作主语时，只有当主句是由It is, That is, There is 引导的场合才能省略。It isn't everybody (that / who) can go to a foreign country so easily. That was her sister (who / that) just went by. There was someone (who / that) asked for you, Bill. 二、关系副词when , where , why 引导的限制性定语从句在非正式语体中，通常可以省略I shall never forget the day (when) we first met. The reason (why) she came so late is her own affair. That's the place (where) we stayed when we were in Japan. 另外，在当代英语里，that可以用于表示时间、地点、理由的名词后取代when, where, why和"介词+ which"引导的定语从句，在口语中that常被省略：His mother died the year (that / when / in which) he was born. He is unlikely to find the place (that / where / in which) he lived 20 years ago. 三、以The way 作先行词的限制性定语从句用在非正式语体中通常省略in which 或者that。The way (in which / that ) you answered the questions was admirable.该题属于第三种情况。
