Laughing gas concerns being raised in China

There is said to be an increasing concern about the use of Nitrous Oxide,
or laughing gas, as a recreational drug in China.
中国一些年轻人将一氧化二氮(俗称笑气)作为娱乐性产品使用，而现在越来越多人对此表示担忧。
A recent article entitled "Finally I come back to home in a wheel chair"
has been read over 100,000 times since its posting.
最近一篇题为《最终我坐着轮椅回国》的文章一经发出就获得了超10万阅读量。
It recounts a young woman’s battle with Nitrous Oxide addiction while
studying in Seattle in the United States. She tells how it ruined her both
physically and scholastically. Driven by stress and curiosity, the young woman
tells how she became addicted to ’huffing.’ But after using Nitrous Oxide for a
year, she began to develop major problems, including muscle weakness and
incontinence. She had to quit studying in Seattle and returned back to China in
a wheel chair.
该篇文章讲述了一名女子在美国西雅图留学时，吸食笑气上瘾的经历。作者讲述了笑气是如何毁掉自己的身体和求学之路的。这名女子自述称，由于受压力和好奇心的驱使，她沉迷于“吹气球”。但是在吸食笑气一年之后，她开始出现了一些严重的问题，包括肌肉无力、尿失禁等等。之后她不得不放弃西雅图的学业，坐着轮椅回国。
A young man from China who was also studying in the US fell into a coma for
several weeks after ’huffing’ Nitrous Oxide last year.
而去年，一名中国留学生(男性)在美国因为吸食笑气昏迷了几个星期。
Nitrous Oxide is not a controlled substance in China. However, its effects
can be deadly. Apart from the potential of dying from over exposure to the gas,
victims can also suffer from long-term motor control problems, potential strokes
and other long-term problems.
笑气在中国并不受管控。但是，这种物质的影响却可能是致命的。除了过度吸食笑气有可能致人死亡之外，还可能导致长期的肌肉控制问题、潜在的中风危险和其他长期问题。
Because Nitrous Oxide creates effects with users similar to that of other,
illegal drugs, medical experts are strongly recommending adding Nitrous Oxide to
the list of illegal drugs in China.
由于笑气能给使用者带来如同其他非法药物相似的影响，因此医学专家强烈建议中国将一氧化二氮列入非法药物名单。
Currently Nitrous Oxide remains available for purchase on the internet.
