    很多用来描述金融政策的词，例如“引导经济软着陆”或“轻踩经济刹车”，使其听起来像是一门精确的科学。而事实远非如此。
    　　点睛：
    第一个句子的主干为much of thelanguage…,makes it sound like….much of
thelanguage是主语，分词短语used to describe monetary policy作后置定语修饰language。such
as后跟的“steering the economy to a soft landing" or” a touch on the
brakes”是前面language的同位语，对其进行列举说明。
    本句理解的难点为：nothing could be further from the
truth.其字面意思是“没有什么比这更远离事实了”，实际的意思是“事情并非如此”，对前文的陈述表示强烈的反对。
