India formally       handed over 72 Pakistani prisoners to Pakistan authorities at a northern       land border post on the eve of its 61st Independence Day. On August 13,       Pakistan had repatriated 134 Indian prisoners, including 48 fishermen from       its jails. The two uneasy neighbours frequently arrest each other's       fishermen for intruding into their waters despite a softening in relations       since they launched a peace process in 2004.
