在记忆和背诵考研单词时，老师们会推荐词根词缀法记忆单词，这种方法科学合理，记忆牢固并且迅速。同时，我们都知道，词汇的前缀一般修饰或者改变单词的意思，词汇的后缀一般改变单词的词性。为了广大考生更好更快的记忆单词，对考研英语词汇常见后缀进行了汇总，希望对考研的广大考生有所帮助。
    名词后缀(四)
    1.-dom：
    free + dom→freedom n. 自由
    E.g. She bartered away her freedom for wealth.
    她为财富而出卖了自由。
    wis(e)+ dom→wisdom n. 智慧
    E.g. In this way they brought into full play the initiative, wisdom and
power of the masses.
    这样他们就使群众的积极性、智慧和力量都充分发挥出来。
    2.-ery：
    slav(e)+ ery→slavery n. 奴隶制
    E.g. The slavery was overthrown after the Civil War in U.S.A.
    在南北战争结束之后，美国的奴隶制被废除了。
    brav(e)+ ery→bravery n. 勇敢
    E.g. The soldier deserves the award for his acts of bravery.
    这名战士应为他的英勇行为受奖。
    3.-hood：
    man + hood→manhood n. 男子气概
    E.g. Her new-found power was a threat to his manhood.
    她最近具有的能力对他的男子汉气概是个威胁。
    neighbor+ hood→neighborhood n. 邻里
    E.g. What happened in the factory is being whispered about the
neighborhood.
    工厂里发生的事正在附近居民中私下传说。
    4.-sion, -tion：
    deci(de) + sion→decision n. 决定，决心
    E.g. I don't think his decision is wise in reality.
    实际上，我觉得他的决定并不明智。
    descri(be)+ (p)tion→description n. 描写，描述
    E.g. The scenery is beautiful beyond descriptions.
    那风景美丽得难以形容。
    5. -ity：
    matur(e) + ity→maturity n. 成熟
    E.g. His performance was full of maturity and poise.
    他的表现成熟而稳健。
    visible + ity→visibility n. 能见度，可见性
    E.g. Dense fog is covering roads in the north and visibility is very
poor.
    浓雾笼罩了北部的公路，能见度很低。
