【分析】复合句。句子主干为Many consumers seem to have been influenced。by引出动作的发出者；which引导定语从句，修饰stock-market swings,其中含有view ...as “把…看作”结构。
【译文】许多消费者似乎受到了股市波动的影响，但投资者现在却把这种波动看作持续增长的必要条件。
【拓展】1)swing作名词时，意为“波动，摇摆；转变；转向；节奏；秋千；变化幅度”；作动词时，意为“(使)摇摆；(使)旋转；(使)突然转向”。2)sustained“持续的，持久的”。
2. So short-sighted Zysman junior gets stuck in the back row,and is rarely asked the improving questions posed by those insensitive teachers.
【分析】简单句。主语是Zysman;and连接两个并列的谓语gets和is asked;posed by those insensitive teachers作后置定语修饰questions。

3. This, for those as yet unaware of such a disadvantage, refers to discrimination against those whose surnames begin with a letter in the lower half of the alphabet.
【分析】复合句。句子主干为this... refers to discrimination。主语this和谓语refers to之间插入了介词短语for those…作状语，其中unaware of...作those的后置定语。宾语discrimination后的介词短语against those…作其后置定语，其中又包含whose引导的定语从句修饰those。
