从句法语义吃透考研英语阅读真题（四）
　　考研英语阅读理解题有一个重要解题秘诀，即理清句子不同成分之间的逻辑关系，否则做题时容易产生视觉误导，常常选择包含文中出现的词组的选项，而这些选项往往是干扰选项。本文就以2006年考研英语阅读真题中第三篇文章为例来讲解一下如何从句法语义吃透考研英语阅读真题。

　　Dr Myers and Dr Worm argue that their work gives a correct baseline, which future management efforts must take into account（非限定性定语从句）. They believe the data support an idea current among marine biologists, that of the "shifting baseline"（同位语）. The notion is that people have failed to detect the massive changes which have happened in the ocean （定语从句，先行词changes）because they have been looking back only a relatively short time into the past（原因状语从句，容易设考点）. That matters because （原因状语从句）theory suggests that （that引导宾语从句，作suggest的宾语）the maximum sustainable yield that（that引导定语从句，先行词yield） can be cropped from a fishery comes when （宾语从句中的时间状语从句）the biomass of a target species is about 50% of its original levels. Most fisheries are well below that, which is a bad way to do business.
　　本题提到Dr. Myers和其他一些研究者的主张，题干中用到了hold，而其近义词就是argue，定位到最后一段第一句。Dr. Myers和Dr. Worm坚持认为“他们的工作是给出准确的捕捞数量基准，它是未来的管理工作必定要考虑的”，他们相信自己的数据支持了目前海洋生物学家的观点，即“变化的底线”。也就是说，“人们应该根据变化的形势调整捕鱼数量的基准”，所以正确答案是[D]。[A]不正确的原因是文章中没有提到持续时间更长，文章最后一段提到时间太短指的是调查研究的跨度年份很短，because they have been looking back only a relatively short time into the past（原因状语从句，容易设考点），和基数没有关系。 [B]不是Dr. Myers的观点。[C]中的its original level虽然文中提到过，但是这样表述的：the maximum sustainable yield that（that引导定语从句，先行词yield） can be cropped from a fishery comes when （宾语从句中的时间状语从句）the biomass of a target species is about 50% of its original levels.并没有说海洋生物的数量应该恢复到原来的水平。
