　　严重的雾霾，让PM2.5这个数字飞入了寻常百姓家，下面就让我们跟随海文考研一起来了解一下，以便积累考研英语作文的写作素材。
　　PM2.5的“PM”，是英语“particulate matter”的缩写，意为“细颗粒物”。大家在家中都看到过这样的现象：一缕阳光射入屋内，光柱中有无数微尘在翻飞，这些微尘就是PM50和大于PM50的颗粒物。桌面上，落了一层灰，那是远远大于PM50的颗粒物。所以PM2.5是无法被肉眼看到的。但其虽小却具有极大危害。PM2.5携带了许多有害的有机和无机分子，是致病之源。细菌是人所共知的致病之源，PM2.5和细菌有得一比。能引发呼吸道阻塞或炎症，使得致病微生物、化学污染物、油烟等“搭车”进入体内致癌，影响胎儿发育造成缺陷，还能通过气血交换进入血管。
