考研英语写作小作文之投诉信
在考研英语写作中,书信的考查纷繁复杂,足有十几种之多。前面曾就近10年中考查最多的建议信进行过详细的解析,网址如下:考研英语写作小作文之建议信。紧接建议信,今天本文就对考研英语小作文中的第二类书信——投诉信——进行相应的深入分析。投诉信也称抱怨信,曾于2012年的考研英语(二)中考过。一般来说用于写信人对某项服务或某个产品表达不满,经常发生在自己作为消费者利益受损或者自己的正常工作、学习、生活受到干扰的情形下,写信时要语气冷静、有礼,陈述事实客观、准确,信中需明确提出解决方式并表达期待尽快解决的心情。
一般来说,在考研英语中,投诉信的主体部分可按照三个步骤进行,即“三步走”策略:
首段:自我介绍,表明相关;提出投诉,陈述事由。
中段:具体解决方案。
尾段:希望重视,得到回复。
以2012年英语(二)中的小作文为例:
Suppose you have found something wrong with the electronic dictionary that you bought from an online store the other day. Write an email to the customer service center to
1) make a complaint, and
2) demand a prompt solution.
You should write about 100words on ANSWER SHEET 2.
Do not sign your own name at the end of the letter. Use “Zhang Wei” instead.
Do not write the address.
题目要求就几天前在网店所买的电子词典出现问题一事向其客户服务中心提出投诉并要求解决。按照前面所提的“三步走”策略:
首段:I am a regular customer (自我介绍)who has bought an electronic dictionary from your online store the other day(表明相关). I am writing to express my disappointment about the dictionary(提出投诉). When opening it, unfortunately, I found its appearance had been scratched and some of the keys on the keyboard did not work(陈述事由). My order number is SK6387249.
第一句话先介绍自己的相关身份,并表明电子词典乃自身所买,关系密切,因此下面的所有内容都是有理有据的。第二句明确表明写信目的即就此词典进行投诉。第三句陈述进行投诉的原因,即词典出现问题。第四句乃按网购习惯随机应变。
中段:To resolve the problem, I would like you to refund me my money in full charged for the dictionary(解决方案). Because I have bought a new one owing to urgent need, sending another would be unnecessary(相应原因).
第一句话,提出自己想要的解决方案。随后一句解释为什么会提出此方案,以使所提方案更具说服力、更容易实现。此外,后面亦可再加希望此事多久得到解决,给出时间限制。
尾段:I hope that my problem will get your kind consideration(希望重视). If any need to contact me, please call 555-6677(得到回复或联系).
在尾段,投诉信与建议信不同:在表达期望重视之后,投诉信无需进行感谢,仅希望尽快回复即可。尾段中类似的常用句式不少,大家可以在复习过程中进行有意的总结整理:
I trust you will take my complaints seriously.
I hope you will give due attention to this matter.
We hope that you will understand our expectation of the compensation for our damaged goods.
I would be grateful if this matter would have your immediate attention.

To resolve the problem, I would like you to refund me my money in full charged for the dictionary. Because I have bought a new one owing to urgent need, sending another would be unnecessary.
