In this chart, it can be seen that the readers of paper books drop by 17.4% from 2014 to 2017. Onthecontrary,in 2014, readers of e-books comprise 56.7%, and laterit surges to 89.2%in2017.
Itisnodifficultjobforustocomeupwithsomepossiblefactorstoaccountfor theabovechanges.Firstandforemost, with the development of smart phones and e-book readers, reading e-books becomes much more convenient for ordinary people. What’smore,e-books are cheaper than paper books, young people, especially students, usually like this kind of books. The last factor that may be responsible for this situation is that paper books are difficult to carry and store; they may occupy a lot of space in our house.
