President Xi Jinping told Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Monday that
China and Japan should "put aside disruptions" and bring their relations back on
the normal track as soon as possible.
9月5日，国家主席习近平会见了来华出席二十国集团领导人峰会的日本首相安倍晋三，并提出双方应该排除干扰，推动中日关系早日回到正常发展轨道。
In their meeting held after a two-day G20 summit in the lakeside city of
Hangzhou, Xi said China and Japan are important and close neighbors to each
other.
在杭州举行的为期两天的G20峰会之后，习近平和日本首相安倍晋三便进行双边会谈。习近平表示中日互为近邻，中日关系对两国十分重要。
Long-term healthy and stable development of bilateral ties is thus
conductive to the benefits of people from both countries and to regional peace
and stability, Xi said.
习近平表示，两国之间保持长期健康稳定的关系符合两国人民利益，同时也有益于地区和平和稳定。
He said currently Sino -Japanese ties are still “troubled by complications
at times”. The two countries should put aside such disruptions and propel
bilateral relations back on the track of normal development as soon as
possible.
习近平提到，当前的中日关系仍然不时受到复杂因素干扰，双方应该排除干扰，推动中日关系早日回到正常发展轨道。
According to the Chinese president, China’s basic standpoint to improve its
relations with Japan has not changed. He said bilateral ties have now entered a
key phase, where “no progress means regression.”
习近平还强调，中方致力于改善发展中日关系的基本立场没有改变。两国关系现在正处于爬坡过坎、不进则退的关键阶段。
"Both sides should bolster their sense of responsibility and crisis
awareness, and work to build on the positive elements of bilateral ties while
putting a lid on negative ones, in order to ensure stable improvement of
relations,” Xi said.
习近平提到：“双方应该增强责任感和危机意识，努力扩大两国关系积极面，抑制消极面，确保两国关系稳定改善。”
They should also make the most of the 45th anniversary of normalization of
Sino-Japanese ties to be marked in 2017, and the 40th anniversary of the signing
of the Treaty of Peace and Friendship between China and Japan the year after to
push forward Sino-Japanese ties, he said.
同时，习近平还指出，两国应该要把握明年中日邦交正常化45周年、后年《中日和平友好条约》签署40周年等重要契机，推动中日关系向前发展。
