A senior official from North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party on Tuesday began
a three-day visit to China, a move analysts said was part of Pyongyang’s efforts
to break its diplomatic predicament amid UN sanctions.
从本周二开始，朝鲜劳动党一名高级官员开始了对中国为期三天的访问，分析人士认为朝鲜此举是意图打破联合国制裁下外交困境的一部分。
Song Tao, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of
China’s Central Committee, on Tuesday held talks with a visiting North Korean
delegation led by Ri Su-yong, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central
Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), the Xinhua News Agency
reported.
据新华社报道，本周二，中共中央国际部主任宋涛(音)和来访朝鲜代表团举行了会谈。朝鲜代表团由朝鲜劳动党中央委员会政治局委员日苏勇带领。
The North Korean delegation briefed the Chinese side on the WPK’s seventh
party congress held in early May, an event that analysts said consolidated the
power of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
朝鲜代表团向中方介绍了朝鲜劳动党第七次全国代表大会的情况，该会议曾于今年5月上旬举办，分析人士认为该次会议巩固了朝鲜领导人金正恩的权势。
Saying that inter-party exchanges should continue to be strengthened, the
two sides said they highly value the traditional friendship between China and
North Korea and expressed their willingness to develop bilateral relations and
support regional peace and stability, Xinhua reported.
据新华社报道，与会代表认为应该继续加强两党之间的交往，双方表示高度重视中朝两国的传统友谊，并表示愿意发展双边关系，支持地区的和平与稳定。
Marking the first time a top official from Pyongyang has visited China
since the January nuclear test, Ri’s visit is part of Kim Jong-un’s diplomatic
efforts to cast off the country’s current isolation, analysts said.
分析人士表示，这是自从一月份核试验以来，朝鲜方面首次派遣高级官员访问中国，金正恩意图用外交手段来打破目前朝鲜的困境，而李苏勇的访问正是朝鲜外交努力的一部分。
Calling the visit "routine inter-party exchanges," Dong Xiangrong, a
research fellow at the National Institute of International Strategy of the
Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, told the Global Times that it is a
"tentative" move .
中科院国际战略研究所研究员董向荣(音)称此次访问是“两党间的常规交往”。他告诉《环球时报》，称此次访问是一个“试探性”的举动(以求修复中国和朝鲜之间的关系)。
"Diplomatic outreach has been at the top of Kim’s agenda as Pyongyang now
faces rare challenges in terms of internal political stability," Da Zhigang,
director of the Institute of Northeast Asian Studies at the Heilongjiang
Provincial Academy of Social Sciences, told the Global Times on Tuesday.
本周二，黑龙江省社科院东北亚研究所所长笪志刚(音)告诉《环球时报》说：“金正恩已经集中力量想要在外交事务上做出突破，因为目前朝鲜国内少有能够威胁到政治稳定的事情。”
"For Pyongyang, possible diplomatic breakthroughs could only be made with
two great geopolitical powers and traditional neighbors, namely China and
Russia," Da added.
笪志刚补充说道：“对朝鲜来说，要在外交上做出重大突破，它只能够在它周围的两个地缘政治大国、它的老邻居之间寻找可能性，即中国和俄罗斯。”
