In modern society,there will be a generation gap if the gap of ages reaches
3 years.This is the so-called“Each three-year age gap,one generation gap”.In the
past,people thought that generation gap appeared when the age gap reached 10 to
20 years.But in the 21st century,with the national economic development,the
growth of people's cultural knowledge and the improvement of their thought and
consciousness,people's individualization and self-awareness have gradually been
strengthened.Communication barriers among people appear;ideas and viewpoints
begin to differ from person to person,making it hard for one to find resonance
with other people.This phenomenon is related to the level of economic
development-the more developed a place is,the narrower the age gap will be.

在当今社会，相差三岁，就会有“沟”，即所谓的:“三岁一代沟”。以前，在人们的思维里，代沟(generation
gap)所表示的时间长度是10到20年。而到了21世纪，随着全国各地的经济发展，人们文化知识的增长，思想意识的提髙，每个人的个性化和自我意识逐渐增强，人与人之间的交流出现了障碍，人与人之间的想法、观点出现了分歧，很难找到共鸣(resonance)。这种现象与经济发达程度有关，经济越发达的地方，代沟的时间差距越小。
