The picture reminds me that some of my friendscoming back from famous places complained that they saw a lot of rubbish there. As is shown in this drawing, two people are having a nice boat visiting on aclear lake. But what behind them is amount of garbage that makes the lake dirty and muddy. And the woman is still throwing something in it.
What the cartoonist wants to tell us is that we should put more attention to the pollution the tourism brings. With the development of economy, tourism as well as becomes a big industry. The famous places will receive thousands of people everyday, especially in festivals. But the visitor's concept of environment protecting doesn't keep pace with the fast-developing tourism. Much of them drop litter carelessly or spit no matter where they are.
It is imperative to us to take some actions. On one hand, we should urge the management to adopt useful measures to clear up the pollution existed. On the other hand, the government ought to appeal people to protect the resource of tourism, which is much more important than negative remediation.
