考生应能掌握5500左右的词汇以及相关词组。除掌握词汇的基本含义外，考生还应掌握词汇之间的词义关系，掌握词汇之间的搭配关系，掌握词汇生成的基本知识。
1. enhance
vt. 加强；提高，增加；
[例句]They'll be keen to enhance their reputation abroad.
他们会非常渴望提高他们在国外的声誉。
2. enlighten
vt. 启发，启蒙；开导，教导；〈古〉照耀；
[例句]A few dedicated doctors have fought for years to enlighten the profession.
一些有献身精神的医生多年来一直努力指导业内同仁。
3. enroll
v. 招收；注册；登记；加入；
[例句]You can come and enroll your children in the school.
你可以送你的孩子来学校登记。
4. ensure
vt. 确保；担保获得[避免]；使（某人）获得；使安全；
[例句]Britain's negotiators had ensured that the treaty which resulted was a significant change in direction.
英国谈判代表已经担保由此而签订的条约将是方向上的重大改变。
5. entertain
vt. 考虑；热情款待；使有兴趣；抱着，怀有；
vi. 热情款待；
[例句]They were entertained by top singers, dancers and celebrities.
顶级歌手、舞蹈演员和名人们给他们带来娱乐。
6. entitle
vt. 使有资格；给…定名；给与…权利；称做；
[例句]If the warranty is limited, the terms may entitle you to a replacement or refund.
如果保修有限制，根据条款你也许可以要求退换或者退款。
7. equivalent
adj.相等的，相当的，等效的；等价的，等积的；[化学]当量的；
n. 对等物；[化学]当量；
[例句]The equivalent of two tablespoons of polyunsaturated oils is ample each day.
每天相当于两大汤匙多重不饱和油的量就足够了。
8. erase
vt. 抹去；清除；擦掉；
[例句]They are desperate to erase the memory of that last defeat in Cardiff.

9. erect

11. essence

[例句]The essence of consultation is to listen to, and take account of, the views of those consulted.

12. eternal
adj.永生的；不朽的；永恒的，永久的；似乎不停的，没完没了的；
n. 永恒的事物；Eternal 上帝，与定冠词the连用；

13. evaluate
vt. 评价；求…的值（或数）；对…评价；[数学、逻辑学]求…的数值；

14. evaporate
