姚明成功入选2016年度NBA奈史密斯篮球名人堂，成为首位入驻名人堂的中国球员。名人堂仪式将于9月10日举行。Former NBA eight-time All-Star Yao Ming has been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The official announcement has just been made while the induction ceremony will be held on Sept. 9 in Springfield, Massachusetts.
姚明在2016年全明星周末期间获名人堂国际委员会直接提名，最终成功入选。这标志着他已经被认为是史上最好的篮球运动员之一，他的名字也将与奥尼尔、穆托姆博、奥拉·朱旺、德雷·克斯勒这些球员的名字并列在一起。
