当地时间3月31日在美出席核安全峰会的习近平主席与奥巴马总统举行了双边会谈。Chinese President Xi Jinping and his U.S. counterpart, Barack Obama, agreed to deepen China-U.S. cooperation in various fields while controlling differences in a bid to consolidate and expand their countries' common interests.

经济发展
习近平：在当前世界经济增长乏力、国际金融市场动荡的大背景下，各国都不应采取货币竞争性贬值来刺激出口。中美应加强宏观经济政策协调，共同推动世界经济实现强劲、可持续、平衡增长。中方愿同美方共同努力，争取早日达成一个互利双赢的中美双边投资协定。
Xi reiterated China's commitment to reform and opening-up and peaceful development, stressing his country's resolution to safeguard and improve the current international system and order.
奥巴马：美方支持中国经济转型、包括供给侧改革的努力，希望同中方加强宏观经济政策协调。支持中方成功主办二十国集团杭州峰会，共同向国际社会发出推动全球经济持续增长的积极信息。
The United States supports China's economic transformation, including efforts in the supply-side reform, and hopes work together with China to strengthen coordination on macroeconomic policy.
中美合作
习近平：在当前世界经济增长乏力、国际金融市场动荡的大背景下，各国都不应采取货币竞争性贬值来刺激出口。中美应加强宏观经济政策协调，共同推动世界经济实现强劲、可持续、平衡增长，中方争取早日达成一个互利双赢的中美双边投资协定。
奥巴马：美中在宏观经济政策协调、地区热点问题解决、气候变化、全球卫生、发展、核安全等领域开展越来越多的合作，双方在亚太也拥有广泛的共同利益。美方愿同中方一道建设性地管控分歧。
The two countries agreed to deepen cooperation in a host of areas including economy and trade, military, people-to-people exchanges, law enforcement and cyber-security and enhance coordination and cooperation in a slew of international and regional issues related to Iran and Afghanistan and on peacekeeping and development.
半岛核问题
习近平：我们主张各方都应完整、严格执行安理会涉朝决议，避免采取任何可能加剧局势紧张的言行，不得采取任何可能影响其他国家安全利益和地区战略平衡的举措。
China is adamant on realizing denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, on safeguarding peace and stability on the peninsula, and on solving relevant issues through dialogue and negotiations as well.
奥巴马：中国采取了施压手段推动半岛无核化;美国“不会破坏中美之间的战略稳定”;美中两国首脑会晤不会过多涉及萨德反导系统。
南海问题
习近平：中方尊重和维护各国依据国际法享有的航行和飞越自由，同时不会接受任何以“航行自由”为借口损害中国国家主权和安全利益的行为。
China will not accept any act under the disguise of freedom of navigation that violates its sovereignty and damages its security interests.
奥巴马：尽管南海局势依然紧张，美国方面欢迎一个和平而强大的中国。
除此之外，两国元首还宣布将于4月22日同时签署《巴黎协定》;同意发表中美核安全合作联合声明，共同推动第四届核安全峰会取得成功。
