全国2014年的考研学子们在1月4日下午5点的时候，考研英语已经结束了，将英语二的翻译与往年相比，我认为难度略有提升，对于翻译中的短语也出现更多的意译，这也暗示了广大的学子们，在平时练习时一定要加大难度进行系统的复习，下面我们分析翻译的答案：
Most people would define optimism as being endlessly happy, with a glass
that’s perpetually half full. But that’s exactly the kind of false cheerfulness
